Colors of Success: Oakland Children’s Fairyland

For more than 50 years, kids have been enchanted with Oakland Children's Fairyland]]>. Many places tout themselves as made for children, but this Oakland, California theme park designs everything with the delight of children in mind from the puppet theater to the train ride and park attractions.

Such a magical place requires magical marketing. Children's Fairyland started printing with PsPrint more than a decade ago and has been printing happily ever after since.

“The reason we chose print marketing is because it's nice to have something different that's not in your inbox. It's actually in your mailbox, and you get this brightly colored postcard that stands out from all of the bills,” said Maria Rodriguez, Creative Director of Children’s Fairyland.

When Children’s Fairyland first dipped its toe into print marketing, the nonprofit couldn’t afford more than one-color printing, but all of that changed when they started working with PsPrint.

“I found PsPrint, and I was so excited to be able to print in full color and just be able to do whatever we wanted from that point on,” said Rodriguez. “And it really was a huge change for our print marketing. The quality of PsPrint's work is amazing. Everything we've gotten from them. The color is so rich and vibrant.”

The print orders that come to PsPrint from Children’s Fairyland are always colorful and joyful, from the brochures to the postcards, the invitations for their annual gala, and even the business cards, which feature the whimsical logo on one side and the iconic Fairyland key on the other.

Rodriguez said that the print quality and consistency she gets from PsPrint makes her feel confident that her orders will be perfect every time. Plus, PsPrint’s employees are experts with years of printing experience so if she ever has a question, she will get the informed answer.

“Honestly, I never even bother getting a proof, because I just know that it's going to look the way that I want it to look from the beginning,” she said. “I love that their staff is so helpful and so friendly and that their website is so easy to use. … They really make printing as easy as possible. I just am blown away constantly by the staff there.”

Rodriguez said that she loves working with PsPrint so much that she personally recommends printing with us.

“I recommend PsPrint all the time,” Rodriguez said. “I did a couple of weeks ago during a meeting with an accountant. She wasn't happy with the business cards that she had, and so I pulled out mine and handed it to her.

“There are a million things that are a challenge in trying to run a business, but working with PsPrint isn't one of them,” she added.
